Dress to Impress: Top 10 Date Tips for Men

Dressing well can do wonders whether it’s your first date or the consequent ones. Branded clothes for men especially show that you have love and respect for her and consider her important enough to present your best self always. So here are 10 cool tips to make a date work beautifully.

Date Tips for Men - Menswear
1. If it’s a casual date, choose a pair of dark wash jeans with a short sleeved collared shirt or branded polo. Ideally tuck in your shirt and wear a belt that matches your leather shoes. Avoid sweatpants, running shoes or anything that seems like you don’t want to put in the effort. And remember, clothes for men should always be well fitted, clean, ironed and comfortable.

2. Branded tees in solid shades may work on consequent dates. But avoid loud colors, busy prints, graphics or t-shirts with jokes or comments. It might completely ruin the mood. Hoodies, distressed or torn jeans should stay home.

3. If the weather is chilly, an elegant designer jacket will speak oodles about your style and manliness. If it’s a dinner date or an event which requires you to wear suits, dresses for men are best. Wear a simple dress shirt with dress shoes and nicely tailored suit. If you must wear a tie for particular venues, you can easily slip it off later.

4. Shoes tell a lot about any man. So pick wisely. Lace ups or loafers are suitable for evenings. For afternoon dates, moccasins, driving shoes or simple sneakers are appropriate.

5. If you love accessorizing, wear a minimalist but stylish watch. Overly decorative watches or jewelry may give off the wrong vibe or appear showy. A sleek bracelet or chain maybe acceptable.

6. Socks or wallets are not always on display but they are important. Sock color or pattern should complement your shoes. Stay away from flashy or funky pairs. A smart designer wallet can earn you brownie points.

7. Don’t get a haircut right before the date. If you need one, then get it the week before and stick to the cut she likes on you or the style which convinced her to meet you in the first place. And don’t forget to shampoo.

8. Body odor is a huge turnoff. So use fragrance, cologne or aftershave but in moderation.

9. Do clip your fingernails and trim your nose hair or hair on the back of your neck if any. A well groomed man instantly wins admiration.

10. Finally, check your fly before stepping out and keep your mobile on silent mode on your date.
If you dress with a little care and behave like a gentleman, good times will be yours!
